I've already mentioned a few times about social media marketing in my last posts. Well, Digg.com and Stumbleupon.com are one of the more popular voting directories on the net right now. By 'voting', I mean you share articles, photos, blogs (whatever you darn well want) and people would vote (digg or stumble) for it to go up the search engine ranks.
A good thing about this voting thing is that whatever you share can be popular (dugg/stumbled) for months or even years as long as there are people digg-ing them. And since all votes comes from actual people, the very humanly nature is preferred by robots and can boost your rankings up search engines.
How you make it work..
Well back to the word 'social media', that means you have to be social. The more friends you have or the more people subscribe to you, the bigger the chance they will like and digg what you're sharing. I find it really helpful to join in discussions and leave comments on the stuff that I dugg/stumbled. Create a point that you can discuss so that other commenters can relate and reply.
So always remember to:
- Make friends.
- Share stuff with friends.
- Digg/stumble stuff share by friends.
- Leave comments.
- Make more friends.
If you don't have a Digg or Stumbleupon account yet, you should start one. Something like this you can see the results in a couple of months or so. But if done right you can see the difference in less than a month.
